In this blog, we talk a lot about New Mexico and with good reason: we’re based in Ruidoso! But it’s more than that. Over the last few years, there has been a concerted effort on New Mexico organizations to promote what it means to be a New Mexican, what the land really does to the soul, the different ways a sunrise here can inspire you. The list goes on and on.

One way to promote New Mexico is to embrace the area film industry, which is exactly what the New Mexico Film Foundation in partnership with the New Mexico Post Alliance and the New Mexico Tourism Department is doing with their media project, “Life in New Mexico,” according to this article in the Ruidoso News.

Dick Norris, the executive director of the New Mexico Film Foundation, said, “The purpose of this project is to bring attention to the post production process that is part of the New Mexico film industry, and to highlight the New Mexico men and women who work in this area of film making. We are very excited to be working closely with the New Mexico Tourism Department this year.”

This project, it seems, has a specific focus: the New Mexico film industry and the men and women who work in it. Additionally, the project highlights the vibrancy of the New Mexico film industry, which is quickly gaining traction as one of the hottest spots to film in the entire country. Such exposure will provide a boost to the New Mexico economy.
